Christopher D. Rivera, 43, of South Battlefield Boulevard, Chesapeake, VA, died Sunday, May 31, 2015. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was the son of Linda Van Duyn Rivera of Coinjock, NC and the late Augustus Cesar Cajipe Rivera. He was a lieutenant firefighter with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Fire Department and a member of Knotts Island Baptist Church.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Alexander Joseph Rivera and David Garrett Rivera both of Knotts Island, NC and the mother of his children, Mary Rivera also of Knotts Island, NC.
