Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire & Emergency Services is one of only 300 accredited agencies by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International with many members credentialed through the Center for Public Safety Excellence. Our members provide fire, rescue, EMS, hazmat, and other emergency services as an all hazards response agency on and off base, Protecting Those Who Defend America and our supporting communities. NRMA-FES is a world class provider of prehospital emergency medical care and transport, even winning the Virginia Governor’s Award for Outstanding EMS Agency and has the National Association of EMTs Paramedic of the Year. Internationally accredited training is provided for all members helping them achieve these goals with fire and rescue through the DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program, leading to IFSAC and ProBoard certifications. EMS training and certification is through internal state credentialed BLS instructors and ALS, leading to National Registry of EMTs certifications. NRMA-FES is primarily located in Virginia and based out of Naval Station Norfolk, but spans to Crane, Indiana and Kittery, Maine with other locations inbetween.
